Saturday Sessions

Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm                    Cost: £8  donation (carer goes free)

These sessions are open to anyone with any form of disability or additional support need, as well as their friends, family and carers.

Sessions are £8 per participant (minimum suggested donation) carers go free. Family members and friends are able to join in, however priority must be given to those with a disability – donation for their attendance is welcomed! We offer Sailing, Powerboat River Trips and Paddling.

Sailability

Those who want to sail but are nervous of sailing on their own, we can offer support and will endeavour to provide an instructor or experienced sailor to accompany them. We use the access dinghies (see left) for independent sailing and have dinghies which have the option to be fitted with electric hand controls for those who have little strength or mobility in their upper limbs.

If you want to sail as part of a group we also have the ‘Drascombe Lugger’ or the ‘Devon Day’ (see lower right), which are traditional wooden sailing boats.

Powerability

The safety boats are on hand, but our accessible powerboats will be used to take people on trips around the harbour. Our powerboats are wheelchair accessible so there is no necessity to transfer from your wheelchair. There will be two trips: 10:30 and 11:30. Please ensure you arrive 15 minutes before the boat trip as the boat cannot wait.
