Powerboating

All-Aboard offers powerboating for everyone, from complete beginners to experienced boat handlers, for young people and adults alike.

Powerboating is a great way to build confidence on the water, develop practical boating skills and learn how to operate safely in a busy harbour environment.

We provide the boats, instructors and safety equipment — you just need to bring yourselves and suitable clothing for being on the water.

Taster Sessions

New to powerboating? Come and give it a go

Our powerboating taster sessions offer a fun and supported introduction to driving a powerboat, under the guidance of one of our RYA qualified instructors. You’ll learn basic steering and boat control while gaining confidence in a safe, controlled environment.

No previous experience is required. Just bring clothes that can get wet — we’ll provide everything else.

Courses & Instruction

Learn to drive a powerboat with confidence

We run a full range of RYA Powerboat courses for children, young people and adults, delivered by experienced instructors in Bristol Harbour. Courses are suitable for complete beginners and those looking to develop or formalise existing skills. Click here to read more about our courses.

We also offer private tuition for individuals or small groups, whether you’re new to powerboating, refreshing skills, or focusing on specific areas such as manoeuvring, safety or rescue techniques.

Powerability

Giving everyone the chance to go powerboating

Accessible Powerboating is run by experienced and qualified volunteers. These Saturday morning sessions are designed to enable people with additional support needs to access powerboating and to experience the joy of being out on the water. Click here to read more about Powerability.

Keeping watersports safe

As you would expect, our safety teams are trained to a high standard and experienced in operating in busy and dynamic environments. In addition to supporting our own activities, we provide qualified Safetyboat cover for sailing, paddlesports and organised events. Click here if you would like to find out more.
