Stand-Up Paddleboarding, also known as SUP, is the fastest growing activity in the country – have you tried the new trend?

This new and increasingly popular watersport gives you the chance to stand up on a board in the middle of Bristol Harbour and propel yourself along at your own pace using a paddle. Not a bad way to spend an evening after school is it?!

All levels of experience are very welcome, whether you want to try it for the very first time or already have some experience and want to practice your skills and develop new techniques. All after school clubs are run by our experienced and passionate instructors and are strongly focused on having fun at the same time as learning.

The commitment can be flexible too. We are now offering SUP club on two nights of the week, due to the high demand last year. You do not need to come to both nights, you can book specific dates which suit you or you can book a block of sessions on the same night. Whatever works best for you.

This club runs on a Monday and a Wednesday night during term time from after the Easter holidays until October half term.

What to bring with you

  • Please wear old clothes as you may get wet
  • A change of clothes/ Towel
  • Swimwear to wear under a wetsuit
  • Appropriate footwear: non -slip, closed toe shoes or trainers that you don’t mind getting wet
  • Warm/ waterproof clothing, including hat and gloves if the weather is cold, wet or windy.
  • Sun cream/sunhat if the weather is sunny and hot
  • A packed lunch if you are on an all-day course or activity
