This is one of the RYA’s advanced courses and is available to both adults and young people here at All-Aboard. The course focuses on learning how to handle a boat in all circumstances and solve problems afloat.

The RYA Seamanship course covers launching and recovering a boat in different circumstances, stopping, reducing sail, recovering a man overboard, and anchoring.

After the course, the aim is that you will be able to handle a wide range of situations afloat with much more confidence and ability.

Please note: two days is the minimum time required to complete the course. The actual time required depends on ability and weather conditions on the day. A certificate will only be issued if you have demonstrated the ability to complete the syllabus in appropriate weather conditions. If needed, please speak to the office about organising an extra session to complete the course.

We do not have any specific dates set for this course during 2019 however, if you are interested in this course please contact the admin team by emailing [email protected] with your enquiry.
