Calling all paddlers aged between 8-16 years! This is the ideal club for anyone wanting to try either kayaking or canoeing in a safe, fun environment.

Whether you’ve never been paddling before, or you already have a bit of previous paddling experience, this after-school club is a brilliant place to develop and practice your skills and new techniques, all under the watchful eye of our experienced and passionate instructors.

We have a wide range of canoes and kayaks – sit on top and sit in kayaks, Canadian canoes and even Katakanus (a katakanu is a multi-hulled canoe that holds up to six children at one time) the choice is yours!

The commitment can be flexible too. You can either book for the specific dates which suit you, or you can book a block at a time. Whatever works best for you. Come along and find out for yourself!

This club runs on a Monday night during term time from after the Easter holidays until October half term.

This year we are also running an after-school paddle club for those who want to develop their skills beyond this session and complete a Paddlepower Passport endorsed by British Canoeing. Click here to find out more.

What to bring with you

  • Please wear old clothes as you may get wet
  • A change of clothes/ Towel
  • Swimwear to wear under a wetsuit
  • Appropriate footwear: non -slip, closed toe shoes or trainers that you don’t mind getting wet
  • Warm/ waterproof clothing, including hat and gloves if the weather is cold, wet or windy.
  • Sun cream/sunhat if the weather is sunny and hot
  • A packed lunch if you are on an all-day course or activity
