Learn to sail or head back out on the water in a dinghy again on Bristol’s historic harbour for free. Our morning sailing sessions are perfect for those who are trying out sailing for the first time or for those who are honing their skills on the water, our instructors will support you throughout your session and tailor the activity to your ability.

When you arrive, you will have time to fill in your registration form and to enjoy a cup of tea with your instructor. They will talk with you about the session and provide you with the kit and equipment you need to get sailing.

All of our sessions are led by friendly, experienced instructors who will show you the ropes, keep you safe and make sure you have a great time. All abilities are welcome, from the very first timers to those who love being out on the water.

What to bring with you

  • Please wear old clothes as you may get wet
  • A change of clothes/ Towel
  • Swimwear to wear under a wetsuit
  • Appropriate footwear: non -slip, closed toe shoes or trainers that you don’t mind getting wet
  • Warm/ waterproof clothing, including hat and gloves if the weather is cold, wet or windy.
  • Sun cream/sunhat if the weather is sunny and hot
  • A packed lunch if you are on an all-day course or activity
