Sailing at All-Aboard

All-Aboard offers sailing for everyone, from beginners to experts and from young to old, regardless of needs.

We provide the water, the instructors and the equipment, you can just bring yourselves.

Taster sessions

New to sailing, why not give it a go?

Our taster sessions give you the chance to try out sailing in a supported and safe environment, under the expert guidance of one of our instructors. You just need to bring yourself and some clothes that can get wet, we’ll provide everything else.

Courses & instruction

Learn to sail with our RYA qualified instructors

We run RYA sailing courses for adults and children. The courses take you from complete beginner to competent sailor, able to sail independently and safely in good conditions. No previous experience is necessary.

We also offer private tuition for those who don’t want to do a course, whether you’re starting out, knocking off the rust after some time away from sailing, or focusing on specific skills.

Youth sailing

100s of children sail with us every year.

Getting children out on the water is a big part of what we do, so we have a very busy youth sailing programme.

As well as running RYA youth sailing courses and a Saturday race club throughout the sailing season, we have lots of social and child-care orientated activities – during school term-time we run after-school sessions, and in the holidays we run sailing holiday clubs. And we take child-care vouchers!

SEND participants

Sailing is for EVERYONE!

Our Sailability sessions are run by experienced and qualified volunteers. These sessions are designed to enable people with additional support needs to access sailing and to experience the joy of being out on the water. Whether you wish to learn to sail independently or bring a “buddy” to sail with you we can help you on your journey.

Participants can use our Hansa 303 “Access” dinghies, both single and double handed, or join a small group for a trip in our Devon Day boat. In addition to the adapted sailing boats, we have Oxford hoists to enable those with little mobility to easily and safely get into the boats.

Our Sailability sessions are on Saturday and Tuesday mornings throughout the season.
