The RYA Adult Level 1 Course here at All-Aboard, will introduce you to sailing and teach you all that you need to know to get afloat, whilst still under supervision.
Forming the first stage of the RYA beginners’ scheme, this is part of a series of two-day courses that enable you to progress quickly from beginner to expert in a controlled, safe and enjoyable environment.
LEVEL 1 – START SAILING
This course provides a short introduction to sailing for novices. By the end of the course you will have a basic understanding of dinghy-handling techniques and background knowledge. It is recommended that all participants consolidate this short introduction with the Basic Skills and Better Sailing courses.
Duration: Approximately 16 hours (either spread over a series of sessions or 2 full days).
PLEASE NOTE
This is a two-day course however each course has an allocated third date which will be used in circumstances where a session is cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions. If you are booking on the course you need to be available for all 3 dates. Participants on the course will only be offered this additional third day (free of charge) to complete the course.
