This year, we’re running Sailing Stage One and Stage Two over five weeks. Please click on the links below to book.

RYA sailing is part of the PE National Curriculum and can be used as part of a child’s Physical Education Element.

Sailing Stage One ( £125 for 5 weeks )

2nd April to 30th May 1

10.30am to 1pm

This Youth Stage 1  is an introduction to sailing under the guidance of a qualified instructor.  Under direct supervision they will learn the basics of the boat, basic controls and how to be prepared to go on the water.

This is a fun way of making new friends, learning new skills and enjoying outdoor sport.

Participants will build determination, independence, team work and communication skills.  RYA sailing is part of the PE National Curriculum and can be used as part of your childs Physical Education Element.

Ideal for children aged 8 to 16.

Price includes certificate and logbook.

Sailing Stage Two ( £125 for 5 weeks )

from 6th June to 4th July

9am to 11.30pm

This Youth Stage 2 will build on previous knowledge learnt on Youth Stage 1.  They will learn to sail upwind and downwind and across wind in a triangle course; launch and land their own boat, under instruction and some basic land based theory.

This is a fun way of making new friends, building knowledge and enjoying outdoor sport.

Participants will build determination, independence, team work and communication skills.  RYA sailing is part of the PE National Curriculum and can be used as part of your childs Physical Education Element.

Ideal for children aged 8 to 16.

Price includes certificate and logbook.

Sailing sessions ( £15 per session )

from 25th July to 29th August

10.30am to 1pm

This is a weekly group designed for Home Educated children consolidating their Youth Stage RYA courses in order to build their confidence in a sailing dinghy, making participants comfortable sailing in the Harbour.

You can book sessions on an ad hoc basis and no long term commitment is required.
