All-Aboard is thrilled to announced we will be running a FREE day for individuals with visual impairments who are interested in trying out Rowing.

The purpose of the day is to support participants to try Rowing, with the view to continue learning and developing skills in a weekly session where participants can attend British Rowing Learn to Row Courses or informal social rowing sessions.

If you would like sign up for one of these time slots please email [email protected]. You will be asked to complete this Application Form . We can support you on the day to complete it, however if you can send a completed form with booking request, this would be greatly appreciated.

Participants will row in a GIG with 3 sighted rowers for support and a instructor.

What to wear?

We will provide buoyancy aids on the day. We recommend participants wear dry drying clothes and layers. All-Aboard has some spray tops and spray trousers to put over clothing if needed, however rowing doesn’t tend to be a wet sport.

Where to go?

Please make your way to All-Aboard Watersports Centre, Cumberland Road, BS1 6XG. You can park in the Harbour Master and Cottage Pub Car Park for up to 3 hours for free. We will have a meeting point by a flagpole which is situated outside the Cottage Pub and our centre – there will be a table with All-Aboard banners. Please make your way to the table where volunteers will welcome you. They will guide participants to the rowing boat an introduce them to the instructor.  They will

more than happy to monitor guide dogs or belongings when participants are on the water, we do have locked lockers inside our centre.
